Faced with challenges like tree encroachment, green shrinkage, and outdated bunkers, the club brought in Ray Hearn in 2006 to develop a long-term master plan. Within two years, Hearn had revitalized the course by creating a new par three at the 13th, relocating the green on the long par four 8th closer to the pond, and expanding greens on several holes.
One standout improvement was at the 319-yard 4th, where he removed the blind drive by leveling a hill, widening the fairway, and adding strategic bunkers, transforming it into a truly challenging short par four.
